And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Sprit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.    – Joel 2:28 (KJV)

of the Seventh Episcopal District of the State of South Carolina

What's our next event?

Saturday, August 21st - Closing District Worship Service at Bishops Memorial AME Church @ 10 AM

September 13th - 17th - The 133rd Session of the Columbia Annual Conference at Emmanuel AME Church (Bishop Preston Warren Williams presiding)

A Message from our Presiding Elder:

Greetings in the spirit of prosperity, of good health, greater love and peace; and the promise of an enlarged territory.

We have begun the process of establishing the Midlands Community Empowerment Center, a 501-3 charitable entity that will allow us a greater opportunity to enlarge our territory. The vision that God has given me are things that not yet exist in this District; however, by faith, I know that we can achieve them.

The ministries that I envisioned through the spirit of God will result in rapid church growth:

  1. First by preaching the liberating Gospel with power and authority. This type of preaching will reconcile man to man and man to God.
  2. Secondly, we are commissioned to develop ministries that embraces spiritual, physical and economical needs of God's people.
  3. Thirdly, we must create wealth beyond the walls of the local church, thus placing the District in position to shoulder some of their responsibilities.

  4. Lastly, we are to teach practical and spiritual steps toward financial freedom in our homes and churches; this will reduce our stress and tension.

This is the land that floweth with milk and honey. In the words of Calab, "let us go up at once and possess the land". Stay focus and be reminded of our theme: "New Direction, New Vision, New Attitude and New Results".

Pradensia and I extend greetings to you and your family. I also ask that you join me daily in prayer for our beloved Leaders, Bishop and Mother Preston Warren Williams, II.

In the Service of God

The Rev. Sandy William Drayton

Presiding Elder, Columbia District
