Area Meeting Held at Mt. Pisgah AMEC
The YPDers of the Columbia Area enjoyed a wonderful fellowship at our recent meeting, which was held at Mt. Pisgah AME Church on Saturday, January 26, 2011. From the praise and worship to the workshops to participating in the Hearts of Love service project for the house guests of the Ronals McDonald House, we were truly growing, glowing and going for Christ! Special acknowledgement to the Rev. Damion Brown for his presentation on Christian Social Networking.
THE YPD
The Young People’s and Children’s Division (YPD) is a youth organization which has been established as a Christian Education agency of the A. M. E. Church to ensure the Christian development of youth. Established in 1915, it is under the auspices of the Women’s Missionary Society. YPD units may be found in most local A. M. E. churches throughout the Connection—the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, South America and Africa.
